When a big dinner leaves you with a ton of leftovers, it's tempting to just cover everything with tin foil or saran wrap and call it a day.

And while Tupperware comes in pretty much every shape and size you could imagine, there's still the problem of reheating food safely. Luckily, IKEA knows the struggle, and a product from the 2018 catalog is here to save the day.

The KLOCKREN reusable lids set comes with three size lids — 7 ½, 10, and 12-inch in diameter — that snap on to bowls, pots, and pans. They are freezer-, microwave-, and oven-safe, so you can use them to reheat or store food, or to keep food warm until you're ready to eat.

They create a vacuum-tight seal over food, likely doing a better job than that loose tin foil wrap we all do. According to an IKEA review, the lids snap together when not in use, so they'll take up minimal cupboard space.

Besides being better for the environment, the lids can help reduce mess (ever tried to microwave uncovered quinoa?) and splatter. Right now, they're only available in the three sizes, but here's hoping IKEA expands their options in the future.

At $10 a set, we'll be ordering a few as soon as they're available.
