Constant trips to the coffee machine, eyes flickering shut at your computer... we've all been there. When a mid-day crash hits, a power nap sounds pretty great, but unless you live across the street from work, or have in-office nap pods a la Google, it's probably not realistic.

Spain is making a move toward changing that with Madrid's first nap bar, aptly called "Siesta and Go." Guests can pay by the minute or hour for a bed to nap in, an armchair to relax in, or a work space (if you're trying to be productive).

The bar provides shut-eye essentials like nightshirts, slippers, newspapers, and tablets, and the beds' sheets and blankets are cleaned after every use by a professional cleaning service. If you're a light sleeper, you can also rent noise-canceling headphones.

A nap spot costs 26 cents a minute or $16 an hour, and the café takes guests by appointment and as walk-ins. Much like a hostel, you can choose a private room or a spot in a bunk bed, depending on your sleep preferences.

These napping stations have been slowly popping up around the globe, with Sleeperie in London, Pauz in Brussels, and several in Tokyo. In the States, YeloSpa in New York offers a similar service called the YeloCab nap.

If cat, cereal and mermaid cafés can catch on, there's hope nap bars can too.
