Dunkin' Donuts knows we love a good dessert-themed donut. So, just a couple of weeks after bringing back the incredibly decadent, but justifiably indulgent, Raspberry Chocolate Brownie Donut, the New England-based company has decided to mess with our diets once again. Now, it's unveiling a s'mores donut.
The brand's giving the campfire classic a serious upgrade, filling a pillowy donut with marshmallow-flavored filling, then topping it with Hershey's chocolate, graham crackers, and miniature marshmallows. (Just imagine roasting that over a campfire, a la these cinnamon rolls.) The treat is right in line with Dunkin's other recent addition, s'mores iced coffee.
That's not the only new donut on the pink-and-orange coffee chain's menu. The Cronut trend may have gone the way of the cupcakery for most people, but the brand's sticking with the flaky-sweet hybrid food. It's been selling a croissant donut for years, but it recently added a chocolate drizzled strawberry version. (The donut features a strawberry puree filling and chocolate stripes on top>
Both donuts will be available in stores on Monday, July 3, just in time to celebrate America's birthday. Also, starting that day the brand will offer a steep discount on its egg and cheese Wake-Up Wraps, selling two for $2 every day until Aug. 27.
