The internet can be both a beautiful community for like-minded individuals (who also love putting ice in the cereal) and a breeding ground for trolls (who'll harass you about not liking mac and cheese until the end of time). In fact, trolling has become so common that even fast-food brands like Pizza Hut and Wendy's have let celebs and fans alike have it in the Twittersphere.
But now one pastry chef is giving us the power to fight back — and savor some sweet revenge.
Created by Kat Thek, Troll Cakes is a Brooklyn-based bakery that turns rude comments into hilarious sheet cakes — and then mails it to the offender. But Thek will even take it one step further by doing some good ol' fashioned investigating: If you can't track down the perp's address, she'll do it for you.
If you're getting harassed by a hater, send her a screenshot of the nasty note and she'll get to baking. Her chocolate-chip brownie cakes are slathered in whipped frosting and sprinkles and, of course, emblazoned with the mean message. When it arrives at your troll's door, the dessert will be packaged in a pretty-looking box so that it appears to be good news. But once your troll opens it, a carbon copy of their hateful words and a note ("Congratulations! Your internet comment has been made into a troll cake") will reveal the confection's real intentions.
Troll Cakes offers three packages: If you can offer up the troll's mailing address, the clapback cake will cost $35. If you need help tracking down that info, she can help you out with that — for a $60 price tag. (Seriously, Thek must be on some Liam Neeson-level ish with this very particular set of skills.) But there's also a deal if you'd prefer to troll Trump. For $30, Thek will craft a cake based on one of his craziest tweets or interview clips and send it directly to the White House.
What's more, she'll ship anywhere in the U.S. and, if you happen to live in New York City, you can choose next-day delivery. Because it's time these haters eat their words, wouldn't you say?
