Less than 18 hours after the president of the United States tweeted one of the most puzzling spelling mistakes of all time — seriously, WTF is "covfefe" — one food delivery company has turned it into a prime business opportunity.
The egregious error (which most people believe was supposed to say "coverage") almost immediately started trending on social media and countless memes were born. And now Postmates, the popular delivery service that was the first to offer Chipotle on demand, has flipped Trump's — mistake into an opportunity for customers to save some cash.
In an email to its users, Postmates is offering free delivery to anyone who orders grub before midnight tonight, cracking the joke that "covfefe" actually means "free delivery." Of course, the brand is also tying this to the House of Cards premiere.
"We'll send you a free delivery credit tomorrow to use on a future order of covfefe!" the message says. Many Postmates users have already taken to Twitter with their commentary, most applauding the brand—not for the freebie, but for its swift thinking.
If you don't already have a Postmates account, we bet you wanna sign up now.
