Dunkin' Donuts is getting rid of one of its most well-known products this summer — because the company says it's no longer "good enough." CNBC reports that the company broke the news on Tuesday during a media day, and announced they were nixing the Coffee Coolatta and adding a new frozen drink in its place.

The replacement is the Frozen Dunkin' Coffee, which apparently has more of a coffee taste than the Coolatta. The new drink has Dunkin' Donuts coffee extract, ice, liquid cane sugar, and dairy. You can customize it with various flavors and dairy mixers, but you can't have it black. The idea is to cater to actual coffee drinkers, not people who just want a glorified milkshake.

"Our Coffee Coolatta isn't good enough," Chris Fuqua, senior vice president for the brand, told journalists. "This product is way better." Like the Coolatta, the frozen coffee is still a calorie bomb, though. Business Insider notes that a large Frozen Mocha Coffee Coolatta has 990 calories and 133 grams of sugar, and a large Frozen Coffee with cream has 840 calories and 123 grams of sugar. Replace the cream with skim milk and you're down to 550 calories, but two extra grams of sugar.

Some fans were devastated that their drink was coming to an end.

But all is not lost for Coolatta fans. According to a statement from the company, the fruity Coolatta will still be on the menu alongside fruit smoothies, the frozen Dunkaccino, frozen vanilla chai, and frozen hot chocolate.
