Cafés are great, what with the coffee, pastries and baked treats, free wifi, and soothing music. But you know what would make your Starbucks run so much better? Some sleep. Thanks to a partnership between Nescafe and France Bed, there's a new kind of café where you can get some winks along with your latte.
To mark World Sleep Day, the Nescafe × France Bed Sleep Cafe is located at Nescafe Harajuku in Tokyo, Japan. Rocket News24 reports that there are electronic reclining beds for guests to cozy up into, and each one come with a smartphone-controlled Phillips "Hue" light. There's also a Sony Hi-Res corresponding walkman and headphone set so you can listen to whatever gets you extra zzz's.
Trying the sleep experience is optional when visiting the cafe, but if you plan on trying out the beds you'll be required to order at least one food item from the cafe's regular menu. Before guests go to sleep, they'll get a free cup of Nescafe decaf coffee, and upon waking up they'll receive another free cup of coffee—this time with caffeine, of course.
Word to the wise for those looking to take a mid-afternoon break: There's a two-hour sleep limit for each customer. But that should be more than enough time to squeeze in a nice nap before heading back to class or the office after lunch. Just make sure to get there before it closes on March 26.
