If you're going to Arby's, you're likely going to get one of their meat-packed roast beef sandwiches. But if you're a vegetarian, there's not a ton to choose from. But the chain announced that they're introducing a vegetarian menu—for one day, and not really.

On February 29, a.k.a. Leap Day, Arby's has announced it "will take a leap" by offering its first vegetarian menu ever, for that day only. The move is actually some serious shade toward vegetarians, since all they're doing is taking their original menu and taking out the meat, and at the same price, too. Here's how they illustrated their Vegetarian Roast Beef Sandwich:

Yeah. Cold. Their announcements describe each menu item with meat-worshipping phrases like "Remove the freshly sliced, perfectly brined, cooked and tender enough to flake with a fork corned beef" for its Reuben sandwich.

And it gets worse. "If it goes well, we'll likely bring back the vegetarian menu on Feb. 29 each year," Rob Lynch, the company's chief marketing officer and brand president, said in a press release. The joke, obviously, is that February 29 doesn't actually happen every year.

Overall, the move is just a fun stunt from Arby's, which has always prided itself on being meat-centric. And if you want some actual options on days that aren't February 29, Arby's sides and desserts are there for you. (Well, as long as you're not a vegan. If you are, you're out of luck unless you order a side salad.)
