UPDATE: May 9, 2016 at 12:24 p.m.
When rumors started swirling that Hi-C's cult favorite Etco Cooler might be coming back to stores, we kind of flipped out. The Ghostbusters-themed drink is a childhood favorite and we couldn't wait to get our hands on it—especially with the forthcoming, girl-powered flick slated to hit theaters in July.
But now we have official confirmation straight from Coca-Cola: Citrus-flavored Etco Cooler will be back in stores for a limited time beginning May 30. The bright green drink—which first debuted back in 1987!—will be offered in 10-packs of 6-ounce juice boxes and 6- and -12-packs of the 11.5-ounce cans, Brand Eating reports. We can't thank Melissa McCarthy and the rest of the crew enough.
But if that somehow doesn't pump you up enough for the movie, you should probably watch the trailer again:

As if the news about Crystal Pepsi wasn't enough: Hi-C might be bringing back its insanely popular 90s drink, Ecto Cooler. Facebook and Twitter are aflutter with the rumor that company execs are rereleasing the electric green beverage.
The first version was launched in conjunction with the 80s cartoon series The Real Ghostbusters, and was so popular that it remained on shelves until 1991—when it was discontinued. This next version is supposedly being released alongside the 2016 remake of Ghostbusters. The movie, which is due in theaters in July, is said to star Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wigg, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon.
Fans have been hysterical since Coca-Cola, Hi-C's parent company, filed a trademark request for the drink in September. The trademark was apparently approved on November 16. No official news has been released from either Hi-C or Coca-Cola executives.
