A brand-new, sprawling McDonald's will replace an old outpost on the traffic-heavy I-Drive in Orlando, Florida, and is prepared to seriously set itself apart. The 19,000-square-foot facility is trying to rival the coolest restaurants in the country with not only a PlayPlace, but a massive arcade complete with interactive video games and more parking than nearly any other location in the country. It might be considered the "world's largest largest entertainment" McDonald's, but the biggest surprises at this location are on the menu.
Venturing into—of all things—Italian fare, this outpost will be slinging pizzas and pasta from a wood-fired oven in its "open kitchen," according to the Orlando Business Journal. We're hoping to see McChicken Parm, Big Macaroni, and McMozzarella Stix on the docket. But it doesn't stop there: You'll also be able to order reported (and random) additions like chicken quesadillas and completely customize burgers using the "Create Your Taste"option. Sure, it's no lobster roll, but a mayo-less Quarter Pounder with extra cheese and a side of Big Mac sauce sounds like a great greasy dream.
But before you book a ticket to the Sunshine State, take note that this epic Mickey D's won't be open until at least February. Here's hoping a few other outposts get jealous and start cooking up some Margherita pie.
