In honor of National Pancake Day (February 28), IHOP is treating customers to a free short stack of pancakes to celebrate the buttery, fluffy holiday.
"We’ll stack it up. You take it down. Celebrate National Pancake Day with a free short stack from 7am-7pm on Feb. 28! And earn double PanCoins on all other purchases!" IHOP wrote in the caption to an Instagram post announcing the freebie.
National Pancake Day has taken place for the past 17 years and serves as IHOP's own national holiday. Described as an "IHOP tradition," the holiday lets guests nationwide enjoy a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes.
While everyone heads out to grab their free short stack at IHOP or prepares to whip up their own stack of pancakes at home, there is one person who celebrated the holiday a bit early. Yesterday, The Rock shared an Instagram post that featured one of his favorite cheat meals—and it just so happened to be a giant stack of coconut-banana pancakes.
"On this cheat meal Sunday, I am preparing this stack...Big and thick and juicy coconut banana pancakes. I mean look at these things. They are ready to be destroyed," said The Rock as he slathered a thick coating of peanut butter on the pancakes.
If you'd like to whip up your own coconut banana pancakes in honor of today's holiday, The Rock did share the recipe to the decadent dish in an Instagram post that dates back to March 2021.
