I Spent $400 At Erewhon And These Are The 5 Things I Would Splurge On Again

Maybe Hailey Bieber was onto something...

preview for Trying 25 Items From The World's Most Expensive Grocery Store

After the Hailey Bieber smoothie craze and subsequent explosion in Erewhon's popularity, we here at Delish were cautious to jump on the bandwagon. It's easily one of the most expensive grocery stores in the country. Many of their items seemed needlessly pricey (a jar of pesto is $21), and we thought they could never live up to the hype. However, after spending $400 on 25 of the most popular Erewhon items, we found five things we would absolutely empty our wallets for.

1

Cactus Plant Flea Market Smoothie, $22

Things that are this beautiful typically don't taste as good as they look. But this drink is an exception. It's packed with 15 ingredients, including Blue Majik, mango, and matcha to create a literal rainbow of flavors. Also a portion of the profits go toward Maui Relief.

2

Collard Greens Madwrap, $15.95

This was our favorite grab-and-go option at Erewhon. It's essentially a kale salad with avocado and crunch seeds wrapped in turkey and then wrapped again in collard greens. It's super hearty and healthy and amazing for lunch. The collard greens add flavor while keeping all the ingredients well contained.

Turmeric Tahini Dressing, $11

First things first, we are obsessed with this dressing bottle. Second, this vibrant mixture of ginger, maple syrup, turmeric, and tahini is the platonic ideal of a creamy dressing. It packs a ton of flavor and a silky texture and would go well with any type of salad. It's so good one of our tasters even loved dipping pretzels into it.

4

Masa Tortilla Chips, $8

These are the most expensive tortilla chips we've ever had—and they are worth every cent. Masa prides themselves on avoiding blended fry oils and instead fries their chips in beef tallow. As a result, they are crazy crunchy and taste almost like short ribs.

Crushed Coccocino, $8

We loved Erewhon's take on a frappuccino, not for its fun toppings or sweetness but because it is a great example of just how refreshing a coffee drink can be. The coffee itself is super high quality, and it really seems like their baristas know what they're doing.
