A little more than a month before this year's Coachella festival, Queen Bey announced on Instagram that she was giving up animal products. "44 days until Coachella!! Vegan Time!! Click the link in my bio to join me!" she captioned her photo of avocado toast. The plug was for the plant-based food challenge she helped create in 2015.

Degeneres adopted a vegan diet in 2008 after coming across several books on animal rights and saying she does it, "because I love animals." Her wife, Portia de Rossi, shares the same lifestyle and guests of their wedding were offered a vegan menu.

In 2010, former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson became a vegan, stating that before the switch, he was "so congested from all the drugs and bad cocaine, I could hardly breathe, [I had] high blood pressure, [was] almost dying [and had arthritis]," but that turning vegan eliminated all these problems from his life.

This country superstar grew up on a farm in Oklahoma and became a vegetarian about witnessing the slaughter of farm animals. In 2011, the singer became a vegan, but refers to herself as a "practical vegan," stating, "If I order something on a menu and it has a sprinkling of cheese on top I'm not going to send it back."

The 42nd President of the United States underwent quadruple bypass surgery in 2004, which led to his adoption of a vegan diet in 2010. Since then, he's lost 20 pounds and has learned to love his diet of vegetables, fruits, and beans (almost as much as he loves giant balloons).
