When Frito-Lay’s Lay’s comes out with a new chip flavor, we expect it to be something savory, like Chicken & Waffles, or spicy, like Cheddar Jalapeño. A sweet variety is rarely on the lineup. That changes now, however, because the new Lay’s Salted Caramel chips will satisfy your need for crunch and sweets.
Thanks to Instagram account @thejunkgoat, we know that some lucky shelves are being lined with the sweet and salty flavor. The flavor name is pretty self-explanatory, so we’re expecting equal parts salt and caramel for a dessert-worthy flavor. As described on the bag, they’re a limited-time offering, so we don’t expect to see them for long after the holidays.
These chips have only been spotted at Kroger, which operates in 35 states. It’s unclear whether these are a store-exclusive flavor, but for now, making Kroger your first stop on your hunt is your best bet.
