Don't get me wrong, I love the occasional YoCrunch in the morning in lieu of my typical Greek yogurt. What's more fun than creamy yogurt mixed in with some of your favorite candy bits?! However, I might waylay this breakfast treat for the time being. Danone, the parent company of YoCrunch, has voluntarily recalled some of its YoCrunch products due to the potential presence of plastic pieces inside the dome topper.
According to the recall, customers have reported finding plastic pieces inside the dome toppers, ranging in size from 7 to 25 millimeters, which have the potential to cause serious choking incidents. The recall affects all flavors and sizes of YoCrunch products, which have been distributed nationwide and have expiration dates from July 7, 2025, through September 4, 2025. A full list of affected products, along with their UPC codes, can be found in a company-issued press release.
"The company is working swiftly with retail partners to remove the impacted product from shelves, while it works to address the issue and bring back the YoCrunch® products so many people enjoy," the release stated. Anyone who has purchased the affected products is urged not to consume them. If you would like to inquire about refunds, you can contact the YoCrunch Consumer Care Line at 1-877-344-4886.
