Cover your eyes! Walmart has issued a recall on its popular 64-ounce Ozark Trail Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottles after three reported instances of consumers being struck in the face by the lid. According to harrowing reports from customers, the water bottle lids "forcefully ejected from these bottles upon opening." Two of the three people who reported the injury suffered permanent vision loss from being struck in the eye. Yikes.

The recall affects over 850,000 bottles, which have the model number 83-662 displayed on the packaging, but not the product itself. The water bottles are silver and have a black screw-cap lid. They measure 4.41 x 4.41 x 11.5 inches. Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the water bottles and contact Walmart for a full refund.

This isn't the first recall to pose a serious risk of injury. Earlier this year, SharkNinja recalled nearly 2 million of its pressure cookers due to burns, and Costco has warned shoppers to stop using a handful of its products immediately due to burn and laceration risks. How do these mistakes happen? We may never know. But in the meantime, check your cabinets to make sure you don't have any of the affected water bottles in your possession.
