While meal time might get a little complicated with such a large family–“I have five kids with five very different palates,” Joanna Gaines recently told Delish—there’s one perk: She always has a "sous chef" in the kitchen.

On Monday, the Magnolia Network co-founder took to Instagram to share a glimpse into her recipe testing process with her youngest, Crew.

"My sous chef and I had some fun experimenting in the kitchen this morning—working on a new biscuit recipe and sourdough bagels," she captioned the heartwarming video, adding, "One recipe was a win and one was a flop. We shall try again!"

Fans quickly flooded the comment section. "Those biscuits look amazing!!" one user wrote, while another chimed in, "Being in the kitchen with kids is good for everybody😇."

"Cherish these moments ❤️ time flies so fast. Had a picnic with my little yesterday," a third person wrote, while a fan added, "He is so darling. We are the same age and I have a 7-yr-old straggler like you. What a blessing to have these last babies to savor and enjoy! ❤️"

This isn't the first time Gaines has opened up about her special bond with her youngest. In April, she told Delish that she can "always wrangle him up anytime" she's in the kitchen.

"He's always by my side, so he's really my sidekick in the kitchen, and he's truly interested in how things work," Gaines continued. "He wants to touch it, he wants to do it, he wants to stir it. So I have a little cooking buddy with Crew."

"If anyone's gonna be a chef in the Gaines family, I put my money on Crew," she added.

She shared a similar post of her mini-me on Instagram in February, and fans joked, "He’ll be running the Magnolia cooking shows in no time.🖤"

"Wow! He is watching every move! ❤️❤️❤️❤️," another added.

Crew's not the only one who helps out their momma in the kitchen. Her 18-year-old daughter Ella Rose "loves making Syrian donuts," Gaines told Delish. "We'll do more of these traditional recipes that have a story. She loves those. We'll do that together."

Seems like Joanna’s kitchen will never be short on taste testers—or sweet memories.
