The cutest couple of 2025 has to go to Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez. The pair is just so down-to-earth and real that it makes us fan-girl hard. Even the smallest glimpse into their relationship has us swooning. And now, we’re getting even more behind-the-scenes insight into their food choices.
On the latest episode of the podcast Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware, Gomez and Blanco revealed what they would choose for their "last supper." To no one’s surprise, they both picked each other’s signature dishes. For Blanco, that’s Gomez’s corn casserole, and for Gomez, it’s Blanco’s ribeye steak.
Gomez’s casserole, which she describes as a sweet cornbread, was actually a staple in Blanco’s childhood (his mom made it). "It doesn't have the same density [as cornbread], it’s much looser," he explained on the podcast.
As for the steak, the actress and singer loves it for its medium smoke and barbecue-like taste. "I do like a ribeye, and then I usually smoke it low for a long time, and then I sear it at the end," Blanco shared. "I smoke it in a smoker for like, an hour." Hey, Benny, can you send us the full deets on your steak prep?
The couple also revealed the must-have dishes at their wedding. It’s challah, the traditional Jewish bread made from enriched dough. And according to Blanco, only one man is suited for the challenge: Jake Cohen, Blanco’s bestie and New York Times-bestselling cookbook author, who regularly goes viral for making elaborate dishes on TikTok. "He makes the best challah I’ve ever had," Blanco raved.
Oh, and on the podcast, Gomez revealed she has a major craving for Benihana’s fried rice at the wedding. Honestly, I can’t blame her. Have you had it? Anyway, while these are just speculations (and not confirmed wedding plans), we’re all clearly interested in finding out what the couple will be serving at their big day!
