Alex Cooper (of Call Her Daddy fame) made headlines last week for severing business ties with one of the biggest influencers she signed to her now-booming Unwell Network: Alix Earle. However, the convo shifted away from the alleged feud and towards a new feat.

The burgeoning businesswoman's Unwell Hydration beverage, launched late last year, is now the official sponsor of the National Women's Soccer League.

"UNWELL HYDRATION 🤝 NATIONAL WOMENS SOCCER LEAGUE ⚽️😭👏🏼 ," Cooper wrote on Instagram before opening up about her personal ties to the sport. "I grew up my entire life playing soccer…it will always be a part of my identity and was a huge motivation when I was creating @drinkunwell ❤️."

Before her podcasting days, Cooper was actually a D1 collegiate soccer player at Boston University. She called the partnership with the NWSL a "absolute dream come true" in her post.

"I am SO excited for everything we have in store for you this season 💪🏼 WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN…it’s just the beginning lfg," she added.

Fans and friends took to the comment section to cheer on Cooper and her new deal. "HUGEEEEE MOVE 👏," one person wrote, while another chimed in, "This is so meaningful and reflective of you!! 🪞💙✨ love to see it Alex."

"Daddy is really daddying!!!!!" a third fan joked.

The partnership is officially kicking off at the 2025 NWSL Challenge Cup in Orlando and will continue with Unwell fan activations throughout the season, as well as a "fan hype group" called Unwell FC.

"We’re so excited to welcome Unwell to the NWSL family and partner with Alex to celebrate the game of soccer and engage with our fans in innovative and authentic ways that are transforming the future of sports fandom," NWSL Commissioner Jessica Berman said in the announcement. "As a former college soccer player, Alex gets the sport, the grind, and what it means to be a female athlete. Through her massive platform, she’s been a champion for women’s empowerment, and now, she’s using that influence to amplify the NWSL like never before."

Cooper added that it feels like the "perfect fit" for Unwell to team up with NWSL. "We remain committed to not only supporting our community but celebrating women who are doing incredible things," she said.
