Doechii took to Paris Fashion Week fresh from her latest viral song release. However, between fashion shows and breaking the internet, the songstress decided to try her hand at food reviews. She's one of us.
Here's the bad news, though: The review wasn't exactly glowing. She uploaded a video on Instagram Stories sampling an orange pastry and sharing her thoughts: "Okay. Here's the thing, I get it. I get it, but it doesn't mean that it's for me," she said to the camera.
"It's an acquired taste," she added before scoring the treat. "I'm gonna have to give it a four." Woof.
However, the hotel quickly worked to rectify Doechii's disappointment. When she arrived back to her room on Wednesday, March 5, she was greeted by a full spread of fruits and more Parisian desserts—including a chocolate microphone.
"Okay, last time we did the dessert taste test when I had first got here," she said on Instagram. "They gave me a note, and they was like, 'Hey miss girl, we brought you some more desserts for you to try. These are personally from our baker.' And so we’re going to try these again later on."
"And I’m excited to try them and give another review, so let’s see how they taste," she added. She also thanked the hotel but told fans she would not be "disclosing" where she was staying. "Thank you guys so much for sending me new desserts."
She was back on social media a few hours later with her final consensus. "We're getting into the desserts. Let's do this," she said. "I get it," she reacted after her first bite. "I get it! I get it. I get it. I get it. I think I like it...eight out of 10."
She continued to mmm and ahh over the different flavors. "This…I really like this one," she raved of one. "This one kind of has, like, a cheesecake energy," she said of another.
"Fantastic," she concluded. "They had to come back. I love it."
