Let’s be honest: The Academy Awards aren’t the star of the evening. Once the golden-plated statuettes are delivered and the curtains close, the real shin-dig begins. That is, the exclusive Governors Ball. Just like last year, nominees, presenters, and attendees will be wine and dined by the who’s who of the food and beverage world, including culinary extraordinaire Wolfgang Puck.
2025 marks Puck’s 31st time hosting the after-party, and every year, he manages to outdo himself. According to Good Morning America, tonight’s menu—inspired by Asian cuisine— includes fan favorites like his smoked salmon served on an Oscar-shaped matzo cracker (iconic!) and cacio e pepe macaroni and cheese. You also have new dishes like potato pave with steak tartare and loaded tater tots topped with crème fraîche and caviar.
Of course, it’s not a Wolfgang Puck catered event if the menu doesn’t include his signature chicken pot pie. We not only love it here at Delish, but Barbara Streisand also can’t get enough of it. (Puck’s words, not ours).
“We have to make our chicken pot pie, for Prince Albert and Barbra Streisand in case she shows up, but many other people too,” he said, per Los Angeles Magazine.
As for the dessert menu, guests can expect the normal assortments of cookies and pastries. However, Puck did whip up some experimental items, including tropical “Kit Kat” bars and an Oscar-shaped piña colada éclair. As always, guests can indulge in made-to-order ice cream sundaes and Oscar logo cookies.
Drink-wise, Tequila Don Julio is returning for their 8th year at the Oscars and will serve classic cocktails like the Golden Age Gimlet but will also feature new bevs, including an espresso cocktail infused with sea salt water, per People. Outside of tequila, Champagne Lallier and Domaine Clarference are offering premium champs and wines. As a compliment to Puck’s Asian themed dishes, sake is also available for the first time, courtesy of Japanese brand Asahi Shuzo.
And if you're feeling FOMO (which, same), don't worry. We have recipes for almost everything on the menu—including some quirky but delicious variations.
