If there’s one thing Reese’s knows how to do well, it’s making different variations of their classic peanut butter cups. There’s a bajillion flavors (and dairy-free alternatives!) for every type of sweet tooth. Lean more salty than sweet? Their pretzel cups are the perfect nut and chocolate blend with the right amount of crunch. Less chocolate and more peanut butter? The double peanut butter cups are calling your name. Want something sweet but also tangy? You’re in luck because the candy brand’s new rumored flavor is exactly what your taste buds have been asking for.
Instagram food influencer snachwithzach broke the news late last year in a post, writing, “Reese’s is set to release a crazy new peanut butter and jelly peanut butter cup in 2025.”
According to Zack, the new PB&J cup is reported to come in two flavors: strawberry and grape. Unfortunately, we don't have a set release date, but he says the flavors should hit the stores sometime in April. No big deal. It’s not like I’m just sitting here counting the days. *anxiously stares at calendar.*
There might not be a ton of info about this rumored drop but that hasn’t stopped fans (lol, me) from being psyched for the new launch. “I’ve been waiting for this for 38 years,” one fan wrote. “Yes!!! These sound amazing,” another commented.
Most fans say they’re immediately snagging these cups once they hit the shelves, but there are a few skeptics out there. “Just gonna take a curious bite of the strawberry one…but that’s it lol,” a user wrote. Another wrote: “I wanna try these…but I’m scared.”
I can’t assuage your fears and say they are good, but considering their history (i.e, being voted America’s favorite candy), I’m feeling confident this new flavor is just as good as their previous drops. And if I’m wrong—which I’m not—well, I’ll happily eat my words (and some more Reese’s, of course).
