Earlier this year, Cheetos introduced its "most requested flavor" yet: Flamin' Hot Dill Pickle. And while it quietly left store shelves just as quickly as it arrived, relentless fans have finally convinced the snack maker to bring back the briney favorite.

"We’re sorry for taking Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle away from you at a time when you needed it most," the brand wrote in a sappy post on Instagram. "We’re coming on here to make things right. Because of your somewhat unhinged love for it, we are bringing the flavor back."

Fan comments quickly confirmed Cheetos' "unhinged love" remark. "You owe me like 20 bucks because I had to search all over for them and spent 20 bucks on amazon for 1 bag," one user wrote. "Can’t find them please let us have them!!" another said.

So what makes them so great? We'll tell you. Despite my initial hesitation (I worried that the flavor would taste overly artificial or just mask the spice that I've come to know and love), I decided to give the Flamin' Hot Dill Pickle Cheetos a try nonetheless—for journalism's sake! Ultimately, I had to chase the snack with a slice of humble pie: I was wrong. While I had my doubts, they were quickly put to rest. The Flamin' Hot Dill Pickle Cheetos are the perfect road trip snack—or anytime snack, really.

The combination perfectly melds together Cheetos' spicy Flamin' Hot flavor with the taste of a tangy and sour dill pickle. From my first crunch into the Cheeto, I was pleasantly surprised. I was met with authentic and flavorful notes of dill before experiencing that nostalgic kick of bold and spicy Flamin’ Hot flavor. The snack has just the right amount of saltiness and a cheesy base, which you’d find in your usual bite, but with an added layer of brine and a vinegary kick. The pickle flavor doesn't overpower the heat or vice versa, either.

The Flamin' Hot Dill Pickle Cheetos drop should hardly come as a surprise. Pinterest named pickles as a top trend for 2025, while the hashtag #pickle has over 3.7 billion views on TikTok alone. Gen Zers have taken the obsession to new heights on social media—you must have heard about the cheese-covered pickle coated in crushed Flamin' Hot Cheetos (a.k.a Chickle).

Now, here's the caveat before you try—and inevitably fall in love—with Cheetos' new flavor: You only have a month to experience it.
