Summer might feel a ways off, but don't let the chilly temps and surging utility bills blind you from the fact that June will be here before you know it. Target's viral food-inspired pool floats, which already hit shelves this month, are proof. And with fans freaking out over the Cheez-It and Rice Krispies designs, they'll likely sell out before the weather even hits 60 degrees. Buy one while you can.
The Instagram account @targetovereverything spilled the news on social media this week. "Found some silly little floats for those warm sunny days that are coming," they wrote, alongside a video of the (currently) stocked shelves filled with cheeky options: floats from Pop-Tarts, Cheez-It, Rice Krispies, Eggo, and even Liquid Death water.
Shoppers quickly took to the comment section with their excitement. "Oh my gosh🤣 I love these so much. Def getting that pop tart," one user wrote, while another added, "…am I about to bring the cheezit float to the 4th of July party?"
"Creative directors are killin it," a third person joked. Others simply wrote: "These are so fun!!" and "Okay I NEED 😂."
Several of the floats are already available online and are too good to pass up. The Pop-Tarts design, for example, looks exactly like the strawberry toaster pastry. Even the box resembles the real thing. It stands at 5.5 feet tall and is made from thick, high-quality vinyl that looks like it won't suddenly burst when you jump in the pool. It includes a built-in pillow for "superior lounging" and holds up to 250 pounds.
The Cheez-It version is slightly smaller at 4.5 feet but holds just as much weight and is crafted from the same durable vinyl material. Shoppers raved about that float, too. One customer said it was able to "fit two adults," "was easy to blow up," and seems like "it can hold up in the water." Another reviewer added that it has an "elevated section for a head rest" and is "doing great at holding its air and durability" even with their daughter "jumping on it and rolling all over it."
I don't even have a pool, and I'm hitting "add to cart" on these suckers. You just never know when you're going to stumble across a body of water and want to float down it on a giant Pop-Tart.
