The most exciting television premiere of 2025 is almost upon us: The White Lotus season 3. Mike White's award-winning anthology series is heading to Thailand for a third installment, and the first without Jennifer Coolidge (pour one out for Tanya). The highly anticipated premiere will be packed with new faces like Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Blackpink's Lisa.

Brands everywhere are celebrating the new The White Lotus with special collaborations inspired by the series, including Away luggage, H&M resortwear, and Nest scented candles. There's one company, however, that's making an unexpected homage to the show: Coffee mate.

The coffee creamer brand is honoring the newest installment of The White Lotus by launching two limited-edition flavors inspired by the tastes of Thailand. Both Piña Colada and Thai Iced Coffee are bringing the "vacay vibes" at grocery stores nationwide, starting at $4.49 per bottle.

To ring in the upcoming premiere, our team tasted both flavors so we could share our unfiltered review.

If your first reaction to this flavor was one of skepticism, we don't blame you. As much as we love the tropical flavors of a piña colada—especially when it's served poolside—we don't exactly associate it with a cup of coffee. Coffee mate says "nothing screams serenity quite like the sweet combination of coconut and tangy pineapple." But do we want serenity when drinking caffeine?

We'll go ahead and answer that for you: no. Director of Community and Audience Development Julia Smith described this creamer as tasting like sunscreen—expensive sunscreen, but sunscreen nonetheless. The perfume-y flavor of coconut and pineapple were overwhelming and didn't mesh well with the bitter notes of the coffee.

Several of our editors argued that this creamer doesn't belong with coffee, but they could see its potential as an addition to other beverages like a dirty soda.

Thai Iced Coffee

If you're wondering what Thai iced coffee is supposed to taste like, there's one secret ingredient that sets it apart. Sweetened condensed milk provides an extra layer of richness and depth than plain milk. Coffee mate attempts to capture that same sensation in their limited edition creamer to some success.

The Thai iced coffee-flavored creamer is sweet and it does have some richness. Our team enjoyed this flavor across the board—especially in comparison to the Piña Colada flavor. But many of us also noted that the resemblance to actual Thai iced coffee was pretty minimal. Smith said that the sweetness taste more like caramel or hazelnut.

To really double down on the inspiration, we'd recommend sourcing traditional Thai coffee grounds to better replicate the flavor. But if you just want to celebrate the premiere and drink coffee that just tastes good, we'd definitely recommend this creamer.
