A KitchenAid stand mixer is the ultimate aspirational appliance. It doesn't come cheap, but it's a game changer for home cooks. It kneads bread and pasta dough with ease. The wide variety of attachments can tackle the most frustrating cooking tasks. And it's an investment that lasts forever.
So why does KitchenAid keep dropping cute new colorways that make us want to buy another one?! This morning, the appliance brand announced their 2025 color of the year: butter. They describe the shade as "a soft, energizing butter yellow with a creamy, satin finish."
The golden hue comes after KitchenAid launched Blue Salt as their 2024 color. But, that didn't stop the brand from exploring more of the rainbow. The internet went absolutely wild for the Evergreen model—a deep matte green stand mixer with a walnut wood bowl. So if you're not a yellow fan, don't fret: there will probably be more stand mixer colors in the pipeline.
KitchenAid fans flocked to Instagram to share their thoughts on Butter. "Such a happy color," one user commented. Another added, "I love it but it won’t probably be available when my brand new pink kitchen aid will die in 15-20 years." (Fair.)
While some people were excited by the announcement, others expressed disappointment in the chosen shade. "My hopes were so high for chocolate brown. This is so sad," one person said. Other commenters chimed in, saying that they, too, were hoping for a deep brown shade inspired by Pantone's 2025 color of the year.
If you're in the market for a new stand mixer and love the new color as much as we do, you can buy a Butter-colored Artisan stand mixer starting today for $499.99.
