The Real Housewives are known for stirring up drama, but there's one situation involving a housewife that's left us in disbelief (and suddenly craving a BLT). The beef—and we mean that both figuratively and literally—began when The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin attempted to order several sandwiches from an airport Jersey Mike's shop.
In video shared on social media, Aydin detailed her "slow" exchange with a Jersey Mike's worker she claimed was in her eighties, saying she was "so mad" after waiting in line for "what felt like forever."
"When it came time to take our order, they took our order. And then they took the lady's order that was after me, but they fulfilled her order first somehow. Made us wait. Okay, whatever," Aydin said in the clip.
"And the 80-year-old that was working there—I mean, the amount of time she took to cut that bread was almost as much as we were waiting on that line. Geez. Everything was slow," Aydin complained.
The reality star then revealed that she was told to wait in line again when she attempted to add another sandwich to her order. A man behind Aydin in line sided with the worker and found himself the target of the Housewife's sandwich shop slander.
"He was being a hater. He thought it was ridiculous that I was adding another sandwich because he knew it was gonna take another 10 hours to fulfill and he was gonna have to wait longer. He was a freakin' jerk," she said.
Not long after the videos from Aydin went viral, a Jersey Mike's worker who was present at the time of the incident came forward to share her side of the story.
"She's over here ordering like four different sandwiches, changing the bread last minute," the worker revealed. "And we're doing it for her, right? But it gets to the point where she does it so much that we're like 'Alright ma'am, if you want to order another sandwich you're gonna have to get back in line because you're backing up the entire line'...She starts tweaking. She's like 'I'm a celebrity. I'm gonna sue you guys.'"
As a result of the frantic exchange, social media swiftly slammed Aydin.
"Jennifer is a real scumbag, always delivers," read one message shared on X (formerly Twitter).
"She’s terrible and not for nothing but a bravo reality star =/= celebrity. Not even close," another person added.
Others on X referred to Aydin and her behavior as "disgusting," "vile," and "insufferable."
Were the reality star's actions justified or should she start making her own sandwiches?
