If the popularity of spots like Carbone and Sushi Park is any indication, spotting celebrities at restaurants often ushers in widespread attention. That’s especially true when it comes to Taylor Swift, whose devoted fanbase traces everything she eats (down to the condiments accompanying a plate of chicken tenders).
A mention of a London pub on The Tortured Poets Department saw a massive influx of online hype and real life visitors. A Deux Moi report of Swift enjoying “several Cosmos” at a New York City bar brought the oft-maligned drink back into the spotlight. And now, in her most recent stint in New York City, she’s frequented the same new restaurant twice.
The Corner Store in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood opened recently to major fanfare. Swift first tried the restaurant a few weeks after its opening in September alongside her pal Gigi Hadid. Just three weeks later, the Grammy-winning singer returned to The Corner Store—this time on a double date with Travis Kelce, Blake Lively, and Ryan Reynolds.
The sweeping 4,500 square-foot space serves steakhouse classics with a playful twist. There’s wagyu French dip, everything bagel-inspired Caesar salad, and even gourmet pizza rolls! The restaurant’s team has been tight-lipped about what Swift has ordered on her visits, but we can venture to guess that she might have ordered a side of their Avocado ranch...
And we haven't even touched on the bar menu. The Corner Store has a dedicated martini list featuring over half a dozen varieties—including tomato, chamomile, and sour cream and onion.
The buzzy new restaurant has been packed since it first opened and it shows no signs of stopping soon. You can’t get in without a reservation—and at any given time the restaurant is completely booked. So unless you're constantly refreshing The Corner Store's Resy page or happen to be part of Taylor Swift's entourage, your chances of scoring a table are currently pretty slim.
