When Chick-fil-A released its Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, its first new chicken sandwich in nine years, the menu item was met with rave reviews from fans. Despite all the praise, there was one suggestion: add a spicy version of the sandwich.
Well, ask and you shall receive, because the restaurant is reportedly offering a spicy take on the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich when it returns later this month. The news was revealed earlier this week by @snackolator, an Instagram account that shares food news.
The sandwich, along with the OG Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, will be available at Chick-fil-A starting August 26. The new addition will include all the toppings featured on the original sandwich (jalapeños, pimento cheese, and honey). The only difference is it'll be made using a spicy filet instead.
When the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich was released last year, some customers were able to customize it into an off-menu spicy version of the sammie. And according to them, spicy is the way to go.
"Maybe it was just a local thing but at my store you were able to order with a spicy filet when it originally dropped before, tastes better with it imo," one person wrote.
And if all that heat from the Spicy Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich has you eager to cool down, Chick-fil-A is also bringing back its Banana Pudding Milkshake and Frosted Coffee this month. The Banana Pudding Milkshake was released 13 years ago, back in 2011, and hasn't come back since.
The new and returning offerings will only be available at Chick-fil-A for a limited time, so don't miss your chance to savor the seasonal treats.
