Who knew McDonald's was such a big anime fan? Just a few months after the restaurant flipped its iconic logo in an homage to the Japanese style of animation, they're rolling out yet another anime-inspired collaboration.

McDonald's just announced they will be releasing a new sauce called Special Grade Garlic Sauce. The limited-edition menu item is the first garlic sauce to be at American McDonald's. It features notes of garlic and soy sauce, balanced with a slight tangy sweetness.

If you ever get jealous about McDonald's items from other countries not coming to the U.S., you'll be pleased to hear that the Special Grade Garlic Sauce is inspired by the popular Black Garlic Sauce from McDonald's Japan.

Special Grade Garlic Sauce is a partnership between McDonald's and the Japanese manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. The packaging for the sauces will feature eight unique lid designs starring characters from the hit anime series.

The new sauce will be available on July 9, but you won't be able to get your hands on one simply by stopping by your local McDonald's. The Special Grade Garlic Sauce is an app exclusive, so you'll need to place your favorite order through the McDonald's app to try it. And as an added bonus, each purchase of the sauce gets you a 30-day free trial of the streaming service Crunchyroll, where you can watch full episodes of Jujutsu Kaisen.
