Guy Fieri isn't just the king of Flavortown—he's also the king of making us cry! On Sunday, Guy's eldest son, Hunter Fieri, and his fiancée, Tara Bernstein, celebrated their upcoming nuptials with a pickleball-themed engagement party held in Central Park, where the Fieri patriarch gave a heartfelt speech toasting the couple.
“You are such a unique person and you have such this great energy,” Guy said in the speech, addressing his future daughter-in-law. “You dream things up, and we love to think big, but I haven’t met too many people who think bigger than us. And you do these little nuances, little things to celebrate Hunter and to celebrate yourself.”
Near the end of his speech, The Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives host spoke about his visions towards the couple’s future. “I really don’t have any expectation other than the universe, the world, is yours,” he said. “You’re going to do whatever you two want to do. I think that you’ll have a great family. I think you’re going to have successful careers. I think you’re going to travel the world. I think you’re going to own it. But what you’ve shown us so far in this first year and a half has been pretty mind-blowing.
Guy isn't the only celebrity chef who has given the young couple his seal of approval. The pair also received a custom cake designed by their buddy and Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro. The three-tier, vanilla frosted cake was adorned with flowers, edible pearls, and various pickleball-themed decorations, with the bottom tier reading, "Congratulations to the Future Fieris."
Hunter and Bernstein, who got engaged in Thanksgiving in 2023, are set to tie the knot in June 2025. Earlier this month, the bride-to-be shared a collection of engagement photos and announced that on June 14, they were exactly one year away from tying the knot. The photos, taken by photographer Julie Blair, were shot at the Fieri family ranch in California, which will also serve as the wedding venue, Guy revealed in February.
