After completely customizing it to her lifestyle and alcohol preferences, Chelsea Handler is parting ways with her Bel Air Home. Other than its $11.5 million price tag, it's kind of what dream homes are made of.
The 28,465-square-foot estate offers complete privacy with high gates and towering foliage meant to mimic the resort experience. Handler is particularly known for her dinner parties — and the amount of alcohol and weed consumed at them — so it makes sense that this home has a fully-equipped chef's kitchen indoors, and a PIZZA OVEN and outdoor kitchen by the pool.
The comedian purchased the modern California home in 2010, then revamped it to make it the perfect entertaining pad. Anne Leeds and Wyatt Park of Pacific Union International represent the listing.
"What stands out about this property is its stunning indoor-outdoor layout with nearly every space opening to the outside," says Leeds. "[You're] drawn to the multiple entertaining areas for socializing."
The 5,572-square-foot home has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms with mid-century influences throughout. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors disappear when opened for a perfect flow between indoor and outdoors spaces in the open concept structure. For example, the family room opens up into the patio and lounge areas, and doors in a bedroom disappear to lead out onto a balcony.
The master suite has a private balcony overlooking the hot tub and 50-foot pool, and is connected to a spa-like bathroom and sauna. Handler's former bedroom also boasts a huge master closet with a refrigerator and ice drawer — in case the sudden need for a vodka tonic ever struck.
