Weeks after being spotted canoodling, kissing and holding hands at the Invictus Games in Toronto, Canada, it appears Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are continuing to celebrate their love fest back in Blighty with the Queen, no less.

The 33-year-old prince and his actress girlfriend reportedly spent an hour having tea with Her Majesty in her private sitting room at Buckingham Palace last week, reports the Daily Mail.

The pair reportedly arrived at the royal resident in a car with blacked-out windows just before 5pm last Thursday, two days before Kate Middleton made her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy.

However, this isn't the first time Markle has met her potential future-in-laws, as the Suits star is thought to have been introduced to the Queen over the summer at Balmoral.

News of the royal meeting comes amid rumours the 36-year-old Californian beauty is preparing to quit her television drama ahead of her and Prince Harry's rumoured engagement announcement, expected to take place next month.

In September, the Toronto-based star opened up about the public scrutiny surrounding her much-talked about relationship in a cover story for Vanity Fair.

'We're a couple, we're in love,' she told the magazine of her relationship with Markle.

'I'm sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time.'

We're just wondering what kind of biscuits the Queen has on offer at afternoon tea - Bourbons or Garibaldis?
