Monday's royal baby #3 announcement came as a shock to the world, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had likely been sitting on this news for a while. While Kate Middleton is rumored to be less than three months pregnant, she was apparently already hinting as to a near future pregnancy in July.
As People reports, while the Duke and Duchess were in Poland in July, Kate and William encountered many royal well-wishers and fans. (Kate also presided over a party in this fabulous dress.)
One of them handed Kate a gift for a newborn, which prompted the Duchess to quip to Prince William, "We will just have to have more babies!"
Huh! Why not hand the toy over to Princess Charlotte or Prince George? Both are perhaps too old to be classified as newborns anymore, and while People doesn't provide any more identifying information as to the toy in question, it seems clear now that Kate's remark had a little bit of foresight in it.
