Hate human interaction? You're clearly not alone. Sometimes the lines at fast food restaurants are long enough to make you wish there was another plague. However, in order to expedite the process of picking up pizza, Little Caesar's just introduced a state of the art machine that eliminates all need for customer service, or 20 minute lines.
It's called the Pizza Portal, and it's the mechanism driving the pizza chain's RESERVE-N-READY self service technology. According to a press release, the Pizza Portal is "the first ever heated, self-service mobile order pick-up station," and it works like this: place your order through the Little Caesar's Mobile App, pre-pay, receive notification announcing when order is ready, head to the store, input 3-digit pin or scan QR code, boom pizza.
Each individual's order is freshly prepared and stacked in the appropriate warmed oven with their name on it, so it's perfect for the person who passes by a Little Caesar's on their way home. Just imagine, bacon wrapped pizza could be there, waiting for you.
The menu is neither limited, nor does the RESERVE-N-READY option charge extra. Honestly, it's pizza innovation at it's finest. The company has chosen to test this new feature in Detroit, Michigan before potentially rolling out the technology nationwide in 2018.
