Let me guess: Tacos were the first thing you thought of when you woke up. If you say no, you're lying to yourself.
The food's an international favorite, ensnaring meat lovers and vegetarians in their well-priced tortilla folds. It's no wonder Taco Tuesday has become a thing in many households, but one restaurant's vying to make the food even trendier. SoCal taqueria Puesto has come up with the Donut Taco, AKA the Millennial Trap, a $60 feast that's essentially a Cal-Mex twist on surf and turf, reports InStyle.
The meal gets the "donut" part of its name from its tire-like shape, not the flavor. Filet Mignon is smothered in cheese, crisped on a griddle, and shaped to form a perfect ring, then Maine lobster and avocado slices are added. All of this meat sits atop a bed of six blue corn tortillas, also covered in cheese, that could probably serve two people – or one really hungry person.
If you're ready to try this bad boy, head over to one of Puesto's three locations in Irvine, La Jolla, and San Diego on Aug. 15, when the Donut Taco will officially be ready to order off the menus.
