Calling all (busy) Chipotle fans: The chain is planning to add drive-thrus to its existing locations—hooray! The shtick is, it's a little different than your typical drive-thru experience. Instead of customers telling their delicious orders to a microphone, they'll now do it ahead of time on the chain's app or online. By now you know exactly what you're craving at Chipotle. Burrito vs. bowl people: you know your side. So, this could be a great way to make your Chipotle swoop that much faster. Plus, you really don't need to be reminded face-to-face that guac is indeed, still extra.

Curt Garner, chief digital and information officer at Chipotle, told CNBC, "We still only have 2,500 locations. There are plenty of places and occasions for us to continue to grow into. But as we've looked at access, we've also looked at it in terms of different restaurant formats and these mobile drive-thru pick-up restaurants are part of that."

There are already drive-thrus up and running at two Chipotle locations in Ohio, and one in Tennessee, Texas, and Massachusetts.

After an investor call on June 27, more details will be rolling out on when you can expect to get your tex-mex fix, drive-thru style.

Keep those sweatpants on late night snackers, because Chipotle has some great news for you. Among all the recent news of disgusting health violations and widespread food poisoning, the Denver-based Mexican chain has potentially found the light at the end of the tunnel.

Usually filled with boring information, the recent quarterly earnings post unveiled plans to open up it's first drive thru window this fall at one lucky Ohio location. Aptly named the "vehicular pickup window" (to distance itself from other fast food competitors), Chipotle hasn't announced any further plans to expand upon this idea. But this tantalizing tidbit might be enough to hold us over.

We will say that the prospect of not having to brave the elements to get a fat burrito bowl sounds like a major life improvement to us. It might even be enough to distract us from all of the negative publicity the company has been earning in recent weeks, like rats from the ceiling, and pretty subpar queso.

Although if you don't believe our queso opinions, there is more good news. The company also announced that it will be serving queso at more locations throughout the country starting August 1, and potentially spreading the cheese sauce nationwide by September, Eater reports.
