Oh, Baby! We have been waiting so long for the Dirty Dancing remake, and now we're one step closer to filling our hearts with some good old-fashioned nostalgia. While not exactly food related, we couldn't resist bringing you this news after you guys were clearly all-in on the original Dirty Dancing, based on the reaction to this meme we posted on Facebook.

While the upcoming remake of the romantic film doesn't air until May, ABC recently released several photos on social media from the new made-for-TV version, according to People.Abigail Breslin and Colt Prattes will reprise the iconic roles of Baby and Johnny, who were originally played by Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze in the 1987 classic. There's no question that Abigail and Colt have some big shoes to fill, but based on the new photos below, it's clear they're working hard to nail every scene — including that iconic lift!

In addition, some cast members from the TV adaptation have shared photos of themselves in character on social media. Leading lady Abigail posted some pics on Instagram of her character and Johnny sharing a steamy moment. "Casually dancing around a fireplace, as one does," the 20-year-old actress captioned one photo. In in the next photo, she added: "AND just casually dippin' around a fireplace. As one also does."

Modern Family star Sarah Hyland also posted a photo of herself in costume as Baby's older sister, Lisa Houseman.

Sarah's real-life boyfriend, actor Dominic Sherwood, also shared a photo of his girlfriend as Lisa.

Colt even joined in on the fun by sharing his favorite moment from the film.

Debra Messing, who plays Baby's mom, posted a collage on Instagram, which included cast members Bruce Greenwood, Billy Dee Williams, and Nicole Scherzinger. "I am very excited," Debra told People. "The original movie was incredibly special to me. I remember seeing it when I was a kid with my mother and just falling in love with everything about it."

Some fans are a little worried that the new version won't live up to the original '80s film, though — and it's true that there will be some changes. For example, while the new movie will feature songs from the original Dirty Dancing, there will be a few additional musical performances. "This isn't a replica of the original. This takes some liberties," Debra told People. "It has the DNA of the original, but you are going to find out what happened to Baby and Johnny after that summer ended. So there's some additional surprises in there that are new."

ABC's Dirty Dancing will make its debut on Wednesday, May 24, at 8 p.m. ET. Our popcorn buckets are ready.
