UPDATE: May 30, 2017 at 12:42 p.m.
On Sunday night, Kim Kardashian opened up for the first time about her sister's controversial Pepsi ad. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Kardashian explained that "[Kendall] totally understood at the end of the day and she felt really awful for it," she said. "And she just wants to move on from it."
As for her own opinions on the spot, Kardashian kept things short and sweet while supporting 21-year-old Jenner: "I didn't see it until it had already gotten the attention ... I think anytime anyone does anything, they don't have bad intentions of doing it a certain way. Especially Kendall is so sensitive, she would never mean for anyone to perceive anything in a negative way."
Jenner, on the other hand, has yet to officially respond herself. Watch the full clip with Kardashian:

After less than 24 hours, Pepsi has decided to pull the controversial ad that featured Kendall Jenner offering soda to police officers at a protest. "Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace, and understanding," the company said in a statement. "Clearly we missed the mark, and we apologize. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are removing the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position." As of this post, the commercial has been removed from YouTube.
Almost as soon as the ad premiered, viewers reacted with outrage over its trivialization of political protesting, as well as the nod to the famous photo of Ieshia Evans protesting in Baton Rouge. Pepsi initially defended the ad, saying it "reflects people from different walks of life coming together in a spirit of harmony, and we think that's an important message to convey." Kendall has still not commented.
