We heart Chris Pratt. Sure, he's serious eye candy in his blockbuster action flicks. And we still can't get over how hilariously adorable he was in Parks and Recreation. But now he's given us a whole new reason to love him — mostly because it involves one of our other favorite things: snacks.
Last week, the jokester launched #WhatsMySnack, a new game on his Instagram that is, well, exactly what you'd expect: Pratt records a video of himself describing and eating snacks on the set of "Jurassic World 2." So that's how he stays fit for his films!
We give the funnyman props for not only sticking to his diet and eating healthfully, but also managing to make snacks even better than they were before. Without further ado, here are his snacktastic masterpieces:
Round 1: Chris Pratt v. Hard-to-Pronounce Superfoods
First up: trying to pronounce his cacao baobab banana chia shake. Looks like we have our new favorite tongue twister! But also — cacao baobab banana chia shake?! Um, yes, please!
Round 2: Chris Pratt v. Raw Fish
While he captioned it "cat food," he did not actually eat any feline treats. (Yes, we were concerned, too.) Rather, Pratt dove into a small plate of assorted sashimi rolls that "smells and tastes exactly like Berkeley PowerBait," he says, referring to the fishing line used to catch trout. "And I get it. I see why trout love it. It's so good."
Round 3: Chris Pratt v. Tomorrow's Snack
As with all dieters, the trouble began for Pratt at approximately 10:53 p.m. when the actor got the late-night munchies. A self-debate ensues over whether he should eat his snack for tomorrow or not.
"Oooooh, it's olive oil pistachio cake! But I'm supposed to eat that tomorrow and not today," he whisper-whines. He gives the cake a good sniff and decides to only eat a little bit. You can probably predict the rest: A little taste turns into a second taste, which turns into a third taste, until, suddenly, the whole cake is gone. There's some audible whimpering, and he decides to save one crumb for tomorrow. (Sure, we'll count that as self-restraint.)
Round 4: Chris Pratt v. The Power of Snacks
In the latest episode, Pratt reveals he's ashamed of his hangry behavior in the previous episode and wants to make up for it. "I'm a little embarrassed from my last video, it seemed a little weak," he says. "And I'm here to tell you that snacks, they don't have that kind of power over me. Nothing does. 'Cause I'm strong. I'm a man. I don't get all hung up over some cake, over some snack."
To further prove he's not the same weak man who binged on olive oil pistachio cake at 11 p.m., he pulls out a perfectly respectable snack: an apple. After pledging to eat it like a normal dude, no weirdness at all, Pratt proceeds to eat the fruit like Cookie Monster. Leave it to Chris Pratt to make the Cookie Monster look good.
So, where do we sign the petition to adapt this into a full-length TV show?
