Last week a new secret Starbucks drink — the Matcha Pink Drink — started to dominate social media with its beautiful two-tone pink and green coloring. The only problem? The Matcha Pink Drink isn't nearly as beautiful IRL as it is on Instagram. (Such is life.)
Thanks to the Instagram photos, people are expecting the drink, which is a Strawberry Açai with coconut milk and matcha, to be pink on top and green on the bottom.

But when they order IRL, people are getting green vomit-looking drinks that are v. disappointing. Here are some examples of how the drinks are turning out:

I did find a Matcha Pink Drink that came out beautifully, and the photo was taken by the barista who made it. "I don't recommend asking your barista to make this for you," she wrote in her caption. "They will hate you."

I think the takeaway here is that if you're looking for a photogenic drink, stick to the Pink Drink.
