At this point, it's hard to imagine an Oreo flavor that doesn't exist: cotton candy, Kool-Aid, even hot pink, marshmallowy Peeps ones have hit the market. The cookie company's become so well known for churning out new flavors — particularly unexpected ones — that it's almost become an internet meme, as people mock up their own, increasingly niche designs (like this insane homage toStranger Things). In the process, it can be hard to tell actual product leaks from the wannabes, but there's some strong evidence that one rumored flavor could be the real thing.

We're talking about Firework Oreos. Yes, firework. Like the thing that explodes in the sky. And the Katy Perry song. It seems too bizarre to be true, and yet, after The Junk Food Aisle, an Instagram account known for revealing new packaged foods — often ahead of the brands themselves — posted the following Instagram, we couldn't help doing a double-take. And immediately emailing Oreo to find out whether there's any truth to this rumor.

If this flavor's to be believed, it'll include red and blue popping candy, so the treat will fizz and crackle as you chew. A representative for Oreo said the brand didn't have any flavor news to share at this time, beyond the new Peeps Oreos hitting Walmart stores nationwide — which, you'll note, doesn't confirm or deny the flavor's existence. The Junk Food Aisle reports the Firework flavor is coming soon and could wind up on shelves as early as May.

Normally, we wouldn't take a photo posted online too seriously (we've all seen that photo suggesting time travel is real, after all), but The Junk Food Aisle has proven to be a pretty credible source. The account does mock up fake products, but whenever it does, they're clearly and immediately disclosed in the caption, like this:

Someday, Butterfinger Oreos. Someday. Caption aside, the account also posts "???" next to the barcode on its Photoshopped grocery store shelf for fake products, while legitimate ones usually have a "coming soon" or "limited edition" note in that spot. And, lastly, The Junk Food Aisle has a strong track record of being one of the first to promote new products, like Reese's Puffs Bunnies, Sour Gushers, and Cherry Sprite.

Here's the earlier version The Junk Food Aisle mocked up, when it first heard rumors of the flavor:

We'll update this story as we know more, particularly if Oreo confirms the flavor — or tells us we've been seriously trolled.
