We're always ready to try one of Ina Garten's new recipes, and her Mocha Chocolate Icebox cake is the latest to wow us thanks to its one genius ingredient.
On Valentine's Day, Ina revealed in this Instagram video that she arranges chocolate chip cookies between the layers of cream to add more crunchy sweetness to the chilled dessert. The cookies she uses are from Tate's Bake Shop in Southhampton, NY, where the Barefoot Contessa spends a lot of her time, but we're sure any chocolate chip cookies you want to add will be absolutely delicious.
To make this gooey, chocolatey cake, all you have to do mix up cream, mascarpone, sugar, KahlĂșa, cocoa powder, espresso powder, and vanilla, then alternate the layers of cookies and cream before refrigerating. In the words of Ina, how easy is that?
