Dog Beer with Dog

It's hard enough to find a company that has a generous maternity/paternity leave policy, but this company in the United Kingdom decided to go even further than that. Scottish brewery BrewDog, which is opening a second location in Ohio later this year, has decided to offer an entire week of paid leave for employees with new puppies or rescue dogs.

USA Today reports that the leave will be offered to all of the company's employees, and this makes BrewDog is first company in the United States, and the first brewery in the United Kingdom, to offer the "paw-ternity" benefit.

As co-founder James Watt explains, "We wanted to take the stress out of the situation and let our teams take the time they need to welcome their new puppy or dog into their family." The brand's love of man's best friend runs deep, as employees are welcome to bring their dogs to work, and BrewDog first billed itself as a company run by "two guys and their dog".

And if you're having a human baby in addition to your fur baby, the company also has an enhanced paternity and maternity leave. To be honest, we'd be very surprised if BrewDog doesn't see a massive influx of job applications.
