After the news broke that Oreo's next new flavor would be Peeps-inspired — and the story quickly racked up thousands of shares online — we knew we had to get our hands on a bag to see if they really tasted anything like the classic Easter candy. Or if it was just a golden Oreo with enough food coloring to turn the filling Barbie pink.
Turns out, the creme has a strong marshmallow flavor, rivaled only by its sugary sweet aftertaste — essentially, exactly what you'd expect from a Peep. There is one caveat, though: Some people have complained that all that pink creme filling turns mouths (and poop) fluorescent pink, too. You've been warned.

Whenever the Oreo rumor mill starts churning with potential new flavors, fans flip their lids online. Back in October, one junk-food–focused Twitter account leaked that Oreo was partnering with Peeps to produce hot pink filling for its blonde cookies. Unsurprisingly, the internet lost its collective mind. And honestly, most people were totally pissed.
So how is everyone feeling now that the flavor has been officially confirmed?
That's right, the neon marshmallow-flavored filling will actually get sandwiched between two golden cookies. Of course, the candy-inspired cookies will be sold just in time for Easter. In fact, you can already find them on Walmart.com and they'll hit stores everywhere by Feb. 22, going for about $4.49 per 10.7-ounce package.
If you're totally into this concept, you should probably consider dunking them in Peeps-flavored milk. The rest of us will continue scratching our heads.
