In the last few years, Disney has relaxed its super strict booze rules at its parks, allowed guests to get married at Magic Kingdom, and debuted a vegan and gluten-free bakery. Now, there's even more good news coming out the happiest place on Earth: There's going to be a Beauty and the Beast-themed cafe coming to Disneyland in California.
As the Disney Parks blog reports, Fantasyland's Village Haus Restaurant will transform into the Red Rose Taverne. This charming French restaurant will feature Beauty and the Beast-themed murals, brand new signature beverages, and French-inspired twists on classic dishes to help "tell a different chapter of the tale as old as time."
There will also be special gift shop called the Royal Reception, which will offer specialty keepsakes, apparel, and collectibles dedicated to the beloved animated film—plus even more inspired by the forthcoming live-action flick. Expect to see guest appearances by everyone's favorite villain, Gaston. What's more, there will also be special performances by Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones, and surprising twists on all the treats at Maurice's Treats.
Unfortunately, all of this "be our guest" fanfare won't be around all year. We're still waiting to get the final details on when the limited-time experience will open, but we're guessing it should be very soon — since the Emma Watson film will premiere on March 17. Stay tuned for more!
