There was once a time when the social media managers of fast food companies had to either ignore trolls or respond to them with passive aggressive but polite comments. But 2017 is a brand new world, folks, where sh*t gets real.
Case in point: last week, Wendy's posted on Twitter bragging about their fresh beef, because why not!? Yay beef:
Shortly thereafter, Twitter user @NHride served Wendy's some fresh beef of their own by calling them liars and a "joke." Wendy's did not take that sitting down (related: "Sorry to hear you think that but you're wrong" will now be my new catchphrase in all arguments).
It didn't end there, because few things do on Twitter. @NHride continued to challenge the possible existence of this so-called "fresh beef."
So Wendy's posed this pretty simple question:
@NHride responded to with a diss:
At which point Wendy's dropped this clapback:
And yeah:
Apparently, that burn was so sick that @NHride actually deactivated their account.
And when Twitter user @Fraxtil posted the exchange on Facebook, another user pointed out that Wendy's has a "history of savagery."
So, yea, lesson learned. Don't get on Wendy's bad side unless you're ready to get burned worse than a McDonalds breakfast patty.
