With the legalization of marijuana rapidly spreading around the country (26 states have legalized the plant in some form) the invention of BrewBudz doesn't really come as a surprise. Yet, it is safe to say that it certainly is the first of its kind.

BrewBudz produces individual pods of either coffee, tea, or hot cocoa that can be easily used with a Keurig machine to produce a cup of THC-infused beverage.

The line of coffees are made with 100% arabica beans and come in a "Coast Roast" (regular) flavor, with hazelnut and French Vanilla flavors coming soon. You can get the tea in "Breakfast Blend" (black tea) flavor, while chamomile and green tea are on deck to come out next. Both teas and coffees come in decaf and caffeinated versions.

Because of Mary Jane's reputation, that it makes you tired and groggy, it's interesting that BrewBudz would pair it with the opposite type of feeling—the energetic buzz associated with coffee. But, the caffeinated lines of both coffee and tea are blended with strands from the sativa plant. This type of weed provides a more energetic and uplifting feeling, which partners well with the caffeine. The decaf versions utilize the indica plant, which produces the more calming and relaxing feeling more commonly associated with marijuana.

BrewBudz cause seems to be pure: to provide people with a clean, discreet, and tasty way to consume marijuana for medical purposes. Plus, the pods are 100% compostable and leave no toxic residue when they break down. So it's a win for the environment and a win for you, as well.

When you start to notice that your coffee-chugging coworkers seem to be in a chipper mood more often, you may know their secret.
