Gordon Ramsay, despite his cursing and temper tantrums, is one of the most well-loved chefs on the planet. Maybe it's his perfect, bed-head blonde hair, his endearing soft side showcased on Master Chef Junior, or his insane dedication that makes the Hell's Kitchen host and world-renowned chef so iconic—not just to fellow cooks but even to little kids on Halloween.
No matter the reason, we're happily obsessed with Ramsay and we're ecstatic to report that he will be hosting a video cooking class online. And anyone can sign up.
Created in conjunction with start-up MasterClass, the cooking course course includes 20 lessons that will cover picking ingredients, knife skills, and dish presentation, taking pupils through his own recipes for lobster ravioli, beef Wellington, and more, Variety reports.
Each class—officially available at the start of next year—will set you back a hefty $90, but the entire course will span more than four hours of instruction. That's a lot of virtual one-on-one time with Ramsay.
"This isn't theater," Ramsay said in a statement. "I want to empower students to understand what they're doing, why they're doing it, and how they can expand their knowledge and skills in the kitchen."
In addition to Ramsay, MasterClass has partnered with powerhouses like tennis champion Serena Williams, award-winning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, decorated vocalists Reba McEntire and Christina Aguilera, and legendary actor Dustin Hoffman. Guess it's time for us all to go back to school.
