When you order a blueberry doughnut, do you expect it to contain actual blueberries? It might not, according to a new lawsuit against Krispy Kreme. TMZ reports that a suit claims the chain uses phony berries and "maple" flavoring in its products.

Jason Saidian filed the suit after ordering a bunch of doughnuts and realizing that some of them didn't contain what they advertised. The suit claims that blueberry products don't contain real blueberries, maple products don't contain real maple, and raspberry products don't contain real raspberries. Instead, the suit claims, Krispy Kreme uses ingredients like sugar, corn syrup, and artificial colors to imitate the real thing. Saidian's legal team claims the company is falsely advertising its products, especially because other products, like doughnuts with lemon and strawberry fillings, contain authentic products.

According to the Washington Times, Saidian's attorneys have filed a class action lawsuit seeking $5 million in damages. Saidian claims he would never have bought the products had he known what they actually contained.

A representative for Krispy Kreme said the company does not comment on pending or ongoing litigation.
